Debora La Torre:

It is an honor and privilege to serve as NAHN New Jersey Chapter President and hope to welcome you to our NAHN familia. Our NAHN New Jersey members have and continue to strive to make an impact in our Latino communities in New Jersey; From our “Muevete” campaign to donating bicycles during National Night Out in West New York, to educating our local communities on the importance of immunizations, to lifesaving techniques with the “Stop the Bleed” campaign, and having our annual scholarship fundraiser dinner that helps future generations of nurses progress within our profession. With over a decade serving New Jersey, our organization’s efforts have no known borders and have been recognized on national and state levels. We are working on a variety of healthcare projects, and community services throughout New Jersey and there are so many ways for you to get involved and have access to other motivational nurses. I hope to see you at our future events and meet our other amazing members, who aspire so many in our nursing profession.

NAHN New Jersey appreciates all the support and collaboration over the years from our sponsors and partners. Our work with you has never been more important than now. As we strive to build a stronger membership throughout the state of New Jersey, your support is essential as we work toward improving the health of communities. Many of you have welcomed us into your organizations, hosted and sponsored monthly meetings where we have had the opportunity to learn about the important work that you all do in health care, health education, and communities. For over 10 years, our partners and sponsors have contributed to our annual scholarship fund-raising events, which have helped us mentor and provide financial support for nursing students at all stages of their academic career. We would like to continue celebrating our collaboration and are interested in learning how we can strengthen our partnerships to shape the future of nursing professionals and the health of our communities. Please feel free to contact us at njnahn@gmail.com with any questions or ideas about how we can continue to work together.

On behalf of our board, members, and communities in which we serve, we would like to say gracias!
